My Story
Darcy Marcantonio is a fashion designer, artist, illustrator, former professor, wife, and mother of two beautiful and creative daughters.
After graduating from Drexel University with a degree in Fashion Design, Darcy went on to study in France at the Paris Fashion Institute. An initial career in luxury outerwear lead Darcy to New York City, where she worked as the Design Director for over a decade. Here, her design work was responsible for targeting multiple markets which sold to various high-end retailers and boutiques nationwide. Darcy started her very own private label "Darcy Law by Damselle New York" which made it into Nordstrom and other specialty stores within the U.S. Darcy still talks about the valuable lessons she has learned and the memorable times she had traveling across the states, Europe, and Asia annually to research, forecast trends, source inspiration, oversee production, and connect with everyone involved in the full design process.
Her 20+ year career gave Darcy her extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the fashion industry– design, technology, marketing, fabrication, manufacturing, merchandising and retailing. Darcy continues to evolve and inspire as a business woman and entrepreneur. She has since created Darcy Law Couture, a bespoke bridal and evening wear company focused on one-of-a-kind pieces, and has been featured in Philadelphia Wedding Magazine.
Darcy Marcantonio taught at both Drexel University and Philadelphia University (now known as Thomas Jefferson University) in the Fashion Design Department for nearly 8 years and achieved another milestone goal of getting her MBA in Business Innovation from TJU. She found a love for teaching and building curriculum that gives her students the necessary tools to competitively stand out and build successful careers.
Darcy Marc LLC was established in 2017, providing another creative outlet to share her work. As an extension of her business, Darcy has paired with industry professionals and come up with DESIGN CAMP as a means to continue her work sharing her skills and expertise with others.
